Trader Arrival Information - Oxford The King's Centre

HOW TO GET THERE

Address: The King's Centre, Osney Mead, Oxford OX2 0ES

Please allow for extra travel time as traffic and the one way system in Oxford can be tricky.

In terms of local travel, please note that the road coming from the city centre is currently closed. The venue recommends that vehicles approach via the A34 and Botley Road to avoid any disruption.

You can find out more information on how to get there at:

OXFORD THE KING'S CENTRE

The train station and local bus stops are only 5 to 10 minutes’ walk away, with a convenient park-and-ride service at various points around the city. The venue has on-site parking available, up to a maximum of 60 vehicles, including 5 disabled access bays- but we recommend leaving most of these spaces for customers once you have unloaded.

Parking options are listed below in the 'PARKING' section.

SET UP TIMES

09:00am

Doors open to traders. You have two hours for all loading and setting up. The venue are setting up paid for table hires in advance.

10:00am

Cut off arrival time for traders. It’s not enough time to get your stall set up before the fair opens*.

11:00am

Doors open to customers.

4:00pm

Close of event. Traders must not start packing away before this time. Please pack away your own table.

5:00pm

Exit time. Any traders still in the building will get a fine from the venue (our venues charge the hire fee by the hour).

Traders must be ready by opening time and not start packing away until closing time. It makes the whole event seem unprofessional and isn’t fair on customers. If the event isn’t set up on time, we can’t open as it contravenes our risk assessment and voids our insurance.

LOADING

Loading is made through the exit doors into Cotswold Hall which is accessible from the car park of the venue. This is located just off Osney Mead Road.

The venue has recommended that vans park at the far end of the car park near the bins. The Cotswold Hall has direct exits onto the parking area, which allows for straightforward and easy loading access. It is recommended that once you have unloaded to seek alternative parking in the area so we have spaces available for customers visiting by car.

PARKING

There are 60 spaces on site- but a car park full of traders will not be benefical to customers travelling by car. Alternative Parking can be found at Seacourt Park & Ride, 5 minute drive away but 25 minute walk.

There is also parking at Oxford train station (OX1 1HS) - where there is a 530-space car park.

Oxford Parkway Station (OX2 8HA) offers 758 spaces for £2.50 for up to 16 hours.

TABLES

You will need to bring your own table(s) unless you have bought one in advance when you booked the stall. Do NOT use a pasting table (these are not strong enough and may collapse during the event).

WHAT TO BRING

You can bring tablecloths, mirrors, banners, flyers and business cards. Every item must be labelled with the price. Have a safe place to keep your valuables and money, preferably on your person.

We recommend bringing your own chair as these are not guaranteed at our events.

Access to power is not always available and is at the venue’s discretion. If you would like power, please let us know in advance and we will try to position your stall near a socket. Bring an extension cord and some tape/matting to cover any loose wires. Your electrical devices must be PAT tested.

Please only bring the products as you have described in the application form. Stallholders may not bring different items unless they have received approval from the Craft & Flea team.

We do not allow: real fur; mass produced items; or items that may be seen as offensive.

FLOORPLAN

The floor plan will be sent out on the Thursday or Friday before the event. If you don’t receive the floor plan, don’t worry – the event manager will be able to direct anyone who is unsure of location.

The floor plan is subject to change on the day. Stallholders cannot request specific locations – we rotate the floor plan in the interest of fairness to everyone. Please do not take a table if you haven’t already paid for one.

If you haven’t hired a table and are bringing your own you will find a gap – speak to the event manager if you have any questions or problems.

FOOD & DRINK SELLERS

Food and drink sellers must have already emailed copies of food hygiene
certificates, public liability insurance, risk assessment and other relevant documentation. You will not be able to trade on the day if you have not sent these to the office. You must display allergen information on your stall at the event.

Happy Trading!
